Muslim protestors gathered in London on Sunday calling for aspects of Sharia law to be introduced in Britain. The rally turned into chaos, sparking a counter-demonstration by English right-wing nationalists.

“We find many of these people who call for human rights and one law,” said Asad Ullah, member of the Muslims against the Crusades group. “They come and they say that they want equality. But what equality do you get when one man legislates over another? Is he not more superior than you? You are worshipping him by submitting to and obeying his laws… We will get oppression like this until we all submit to one law, and that is the law of God.”
A few meters away from Ullah, Maryam Namazie, spokesperson for One Law for All, a campaign that opposes the introduction of Sharia law, struggled to get her voice heard. She attended the rally along with a group of other moderate Muslims and non-Muslims who came to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of Neda Agha-Soltan, killed following last year’s Iranian election.

“The British government is making a huge mistake giving them access to bring Sharia law here,” Namazie said. “It thinks it can reduce terrorism by doing that. It doesn’t understand that this is the political wing of the terrorist movement and they are here to suppress people’s rights. And we’re not going to allow it.”

The nationalist English Defense League also attended the rally. They were not welcomed by either group, although some among them said they came with a message of inclusion.

“We’re members of the EDL, we’re not racists – black, white, brown unite against these Islamic preachers,” said Hayley Moore. “We want one law for all in the UK, so we’ve decided to come and join these to protest against them.”

“Our lads got arrested, and they didn’t do nothing. They got arrested, and they should be arresting them because they’re inciting religious and racial hatred,” Moore said, referring to the EDL protestors bundled into vans by the police who said they had no permission to demonstrate.

Shortly thereafter, a group of protestors carrying “Unite Against Fascism” banners joined the rally. It first seemed that those carrying the UAF banners were there to oppose the EDL, until their chanting became clear and one could hear them calling out “Allah Akbar.” The UAF group has denied any association.

A total of four factions protesting in favour of and against the introduction of Sharia law into the UK were represented at the rally on Sunday. Such demonstrations are becoming more and more common on the streets of towns all across the UK.

UK Guard Given Vicious Beating over Halal Meal…

Muslim Prisoner Gave ‘Vicious Beating’ to Officer over Halal Meal

Muslims are reportedly ‘running the show’ at several British prisons
Apparently it had been ‘incorrectly served’. Insufficient dhimmitude with the salt and pepper, perhaps? Feel the Love and Peace™ of Islam:

Inmate beat up jailer in halal food row

An inmate who viciously beat up a prison officer after a row over how his food was cooked has been given an extended jail sentence.

Alec Walker 49, hurled abuse at officer David Larsen after he complained his halal meal had been incorrectly served to him at Forest Bank prison in Salford.

Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court heard that Walker was escorted back to his cell, where he told the officer: “Come on then. You and me, now.”

Walker, a Muslim, punched the warder hard in the face, knocking him into a washbasin. He then rained down blows on his head with a clenched fist.

Mr Larsen tried to call for help, but he had dropped his radio during the incident in July last year.

Walker shouted ‘I’m going to kill you’ before he was dragged off his victim by other warders.

Mr Larsen suffered a broken nose which later needed surgery, cuts to his mouth and lips, two black eyes, blurred vision, and extensive bruising in the attack.

Walker, in Forest Bank for breach of a previous suspended sentence, claimed he had been assaulted and was forced to retaliate. He later pleaded guilty to a charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm.

Paul Hodgkinson, defending, said Walker, who gave his address as Manchester Prison, had spent a large proportion of his life in custody and now realised that unless he changed, he would spend the rest of his days behind bars.

Recorder Raymond Wigglesworth, sentencing him to three years, plus an additional two years on licence, told Walker: “This was a serious offence against an officer acting in the course of his duty.

“Apart from the injuries he suffered at your hands, he considers that his reputation within the prison service has been irreparably damaged.”

“Muslims run it. Muslims run the prisons and there’s nothing the screws [Prison Service] can do about it. For a Muslim you’d say it’s good but for a non-Muslim, it’s very, very bad,” – “Jay”, Muslim former inmate in a BBC interview, March 2010

The substantial over-representation of Muslim prisoners in Britain (12% of the population against a wider Muslim population of under 3% – even greater in higher security facilities), together with the authorities’ over-accommodation of Muslim prisoners’ demands are becoming a major issue in the UK Prison Service.
Intimidation of non-Muslims, questionable conversions, special privileges, death threats and a reluctance to tackle Muslim troublemakers for fear of legal action characterise the prison authorities’ policy of taking an acquiescent attitude to the Muslim gangs, for fear of ‘rocking the boat.’

Speaking anonymously, a former prison officer recently told a British TV programme of cases where non-Muslim prisoners were seriously assaulted and intimidated for refusing to abide by unofficial rules imposed by Muslim gangs; typically about eating pork or listening to Western music.

This cannot continue. The first thing that needs to be done is for the front-line officers themselves to be given a frank, no-holds-barred education in how radical Islam works – not a fluffy, multikulti version. Then they need to be given the legal backing and the tools they need to take back control and quickly.

If this does not happen, it is not unreasonable to predict that we could soon witness a complete breakdown of Britain’s penal system. Meanwhile the authorities continue to sleepwalk towards a catastrophe, warning people not to conflate the issues of prison security and religion.

It is precisely this kind of pandering and self-censorship that needs to be challenged head-on. It’s not conflation when there is growing evidence of adirect correlation between the two. Time for an honest debate.
